This Post explains steps for running RCU(Repository Creation Utility) for Oracle Identity Manager and SOA on Linux server. In Oracle Identity Manager 11g releases we need to use RCU for creating the required schema’s for Oracle Identity manager .
Steps for Running RCU for Oracle Identity Manager
Download the RCU software and unzip to a directory.
Navigate to rcuHome/bin directory in a terminal
Execute. /rcu command. Welcome screen will be displayed. Click Next to continue
In the next screen, select Create to create schemas for OIM.
Note : If you want to drop the schema’s created for OIM and SOA , select Drop and select Next . Enter the appropriate options in the next screen to drop the schema’s.
In the next page, enter the database connection details. You need to enter SYS user credentials here.
In the Pr-Requisites check page, click next and OK in the next screens.
Select the Components to create schema’s and also select the schema prefix value. Make sure that Oracle Identity Manger , Metadata Services and Oracle Platform Security Services and Oracle SOA are selected.
In the next page, enter the passwords for the schema’s to be created. Select the appropriate option and enter the passwords. If you want to user same password for all schema’s, select Use same passwords for all schema’s and enter the password.
In the next page , click Next to continue .
In the Summary page, Click on Create to create the selected schema’s
The required schema’s will be created and the RCU execution status will be displayed in next page.
Click on Close complete the RCU execution for Oracle Identity Manager.
