Installation and Configuration steps for Oracle Identity Manager 11GR2 PS2
1. Install Oracle Database for Oracle Identity Manager.
We need to install oracle database for creating the database schemas for Oracle Identity Manager . The steps for installation of Oracle Database is explained here :
Make sure that the below db parameters are updated with the values given below
- AL32UTF8 as the database character set.
- SHARED_POOL_SIZE is greater than or equal to 147456KB.
- SGA_MAX_SIZE is greater than or equal to 147456KB.
- DB_BLOCK_SIZE is greater than or equal to 8KB
- OPEN_CURSOR = 800
Start the Oracle Database.
2. Execute Repistory Creation Utility (RCU)
We need to run the RCU for creating the required schema’s for Oracle Identity Manager and Oracle SOA. The steps for running the RCU for Oracle Identity Manager is explained here.
3. Install JDK/JRockit
The steps for installing the Oracle JRockit on linux server is explained here .
4. Install Oracle Weblogic 10.3.6
Before installing the Oracle Identity Manager and Oracle SOA softwares , we need to install Oracle Weblogic server . The steps for installing Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.6 is explained here.
5. Install SOA 18.104.22.168
Oracle SOA server installation is needed before running the Oracle Identity Manger configuration . The steps for installing Oracle SOA 22.214.171.124 is explained here
6. Install Oracle Identity and Access Management 11gR2 PS2

7.Applying Patch for OPSS Schema
Before configuring OIM Server we must apply patch to upgrade the OPSS Schema. You need to take the backup of OPSS schema before applying the patch. This patch is used to upgrade previous versions of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g schemas to version 126.96.36.199.2

8. Configuring Weblogic for OIM

9. Configuring Database Security Store
We must run the configureSecurityStore.py script to configure the Database Security Store as it is the only security store type supported by the Oracle Identity & Access Management 11g Release 2 (11.1.2). The steps for configuring the database security store is explained here.
10 . Configure OIM Server and Design Console
In this we will perform the steps for configuring OIM server and design console.
Note: Make sure that Admin Server and SOA Managed server is up and running.
