Export and Import policy data of OAM11gR2

This post explains how to export and import policy data of OAM11gR2. Using the WLST Scripting tool we can export and import policy data of Oracle Access Manager (OAM). The steps for exporting and importing policies of OAM11gR2 is given below,

Steps for Export and Import policy data of OAM11gR2

Export OAM Policy data

The policy export scripts will export Authentication Schemes, Host Identifiers and Application domains etc to the temporary  xml file .

Login to OAM Sever and Navigate to $ORACLE_HOME/common/bin

Execute ./wlst.sh to start WLST

Execute the connect() command ,

syntax : connect(‘<weblogic-admin-user>’,’<weblogic admin user password>’,’<t3://weblogic-server-host:weblogic-server-port>’)

eg: connect(‘weblogic’,’Welcome1′,’t3://localhost:7001′)

Execute the exportPolicy() command to export the OAM policy data.

syntax :exportPolicy(pathTempOAMPolicyFile=’ <pathTempOAMPolicyFile >’)

eg:exportPolicy(PathTempOAMPolicyFile=’/tmp/oam.xml’)

Import OAM Policy data

To Import the OAM policy data to a target OAM environment, follow the below steps ,

Login to OAM Sever and Navigate to $ORACLE_HOME/common/bin

Execute ./wlst.sh to start WLST

Execute the connect() command ,

syntax : connect(‘<weblogic-admin-user>’,’<weblogic admin user password>’,’<t3://weblogic-server-host:weblogic-server-port>’)

eg: connect(‘weblogic’,’Welcome1′,’t3://localhost:7001′)

Execute the importPolicy() command to import the policy data from a temporary oam-policy file that was created during the export policy operation.

syntaxt: importPolicy(pathTempOAMPolicyFile=’ <pathTempOAMPolicyFile >’)

eg:importPolicy(pathTempOAMPolicyFile=’/tmp/oam.xml’)

The command will be executed and import status will be  displayed.
