How to Determine OIM11g Server Version

We usually get queries regarding the version of Oracle Identity Manager Server installed .  This post describes the steps to determine OIM11g Sever version and the patches applied.

Oracle Fusion Middleware product installation comes up with a utility called Opatch utility which can be used for finding the product version or the patch levels applied on the installation. OPatch is a Java based utility used to patch Oracle products that utilize the Oracle Universal Installer. Opatch is included in most of the fusion middleware product installs and it will be present under the ORACLE_HOME/OPatch location.

By running the Opatch utility we can determine the OIM11g server version .

If you have multiple products installed on single Fusion Middleware home, make sure that ORACLE_HOME environment variable is set to the product for which you want to apply patch or you want to know the version.

Steps to determine OIM11g Server Version

Login to the sever and set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable .

export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_OIM_HOME

eg: export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1

Navigate to ORACLE_HOME /OPatch directory .

To determine the OIM 11g server version ,  run the ./opatch lsinventory command .

The OIM11g server version including the patch levels will be displayed as shown below,

The output will show the  OUI version, Oracle IDM Suite version, and all the interim patches applied on this installation till date.

You may get an error while running Opatch utility  if you are executing the command on  a 64 bit kernal  (java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError) . To resolve this issue, set the below mentioned environment variable before executing the Opatch Command.

export JVM_D64=d64
